Calm in motion

Taijiquan is an ancient Chinese self-defense and movement art. Taijiquan is meditative, strengthens the body and promotes the development of the inner life force. Taijiquan forms consist of flowing, mostly slowly executed sequences of movements. Taijiquan belongs to the holistic approaches, as it serves the health and recovery of the body as well as the mind and soul.

As with various other practical approaches from the Far East, there are several schools/styles of Taijiquan that follow a slightly different philosophy. However, the essential principles are always the same.

  • Chen-Stil-Taijiquan (陳氏)
  • Hao-Stil-Taijiquan (武家)
  • Sun-Stil-Taijiquan (孫家)
  • Wu-Stil-Taijiquan (吳家)
  • Wudang-Stil-Taijiquan (武當)
  • Yang-Stil Taijiquan (楊家).
